Word Finder

Type the letters you have and see every word you can build from them, longest first. Handy for practice, for settling an argument, or for spotting the word you just know is hiding in there.

Letters a to z only, up to 15. Words use each letter at most as many times as you type it.

Start typing to see every word you can build. Or just play a round.

How the word finder works

Enter up to 15 letters and the tool checks them against Grida's dictionary, then lists every word you can spell using those letters. Each letter is used at most as many times as you typed it, so two of the same letter means you can use it twice. Results are grouped by length with the longest words on top, because in a word game length is usually what wins.

Which words it includes

The dictionary is deliberately tight: common singular nouns, three to ten letters, with no plurals, verbs, proper nouns, abbreviations, or anything hyphenated. It is the same word list Grida uses in play, so what you find here is exactly what would score in a real match. That keeps the results clean and usable instead of cluttered with obscure entries you would never actually play.

Put it to use

A word finder is great for training your eye, but the fun is in the game itself. Once you start spotting longer words on your own, take them to the board: play a word game online, sharpen up against the computer, or learn the rules on the how to play page.
